About me
Hi, I’m Ildy, a Sydney-based artist, maker, and creative workshop host.
I grew up surrounded by making. My dad’s upholstery workshop was my first studio, where I spent hours painting, sewing with fabric scraps, and experimenting with whatever I could get my hands on. That early sense of play and curiosity shaped not just how I create, but why I create.
Over the years, I’ve explored many creative paths from painting and textile work to visual arts, animation, and teaching. I’m still endlessly inspired by the magic of trying something new, and by the quiet confidence that grows when you trust the process and let go of perfection.
My artwork is deeply inspired by animals and the natural world. When I paint, I aim to capture personality and presence, the playful glint in a cat’s eye, the calm strength of a wild creature, the sense that an animal is more than an image, but a story. Each piece is created to bring warmth, character, and connection into your home.
Alongside my art practice, I run creative workshops in Sydney designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and judgment-free. You don’t need experience just curiosity. One of my favourite moments is watching someone realise, often with surprise, “Oh… I am creative.” That spark of confidence is why I do what I do.
Whether you’re here to find a piece that resonates with you, a meaningful gift, or the courage to try something new, I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for supporting a small, hands-on creative business, it truly means the world.
Let’s make, explore, and create something beautiful together.
